Megarom Games uses Red Cherry to increase database

During 2010 Megarom Games have successfully used Red Cherry Media’s Interactive platforms on TV & Radio as well as Mobile Marketing, to increase the noting of their commercials and their database of gamers.

SPOT ON Radio specifically on 5FM and ADS UP TV on MNet & DSTV were used for the launch of all the big release games in 2010.

The entrants from each campaign were asked if they wanted to receive upcoming information from Megarom in the future.
It’s this firm database that has been used successfully in mobile marketing communication to promote and inform gamers of new titles and release dates.

UIP

UIP incorporated SPOT ON, Red Cherry’s Interactive Radio Platform, into 2 movie campaigns, namely Resident Evil & Team America.

Red Cherry produced tops & tails, which ran in conjunction with client’s radio commercial.
The production & airtime for the top & tail was at no cost to UIP, as it forms part of Red Cherry’s added value offering.

The top & tail that was produced increased the 20” commercials to 40”.

Red Cherry offered UIP the opportunity to research the callers, and generate a firm database of those that wanted to receive more information on upcoming UIP movies.
There were over 385 calls generated from the 5FM, of which 25% of the callers said they wanted to be part of a UIP database.

Red Cherry monitored the call volumes & research received every 24 hrs, and all information was placed on the Red Cherry website for clients’ perusal.

The research & the database are provided as added value when using any of Red Cherry’s Interactive TV/ Radio Platforms.

Prizes, in the form of movie tickets, were supplied by Red Cherry as part of the added value offering.

The Interactive concept was used to increased noting of the commercial; create active & passive target market participation; generate valuable research and a database, create a point of difference and break through the clutter.

 

Nu Metro – Dukes of Hazard

Nu Metro incorporated one of Red Cherry’s Interactive Radio Platforms – namely SPOT ON, into their campaign for the movie “Dukes of Hazard”.
SPOT ON ran across the 5FM spots.

The Interactive Radio concept assisted in increasing noting of the commercial; creating active & passive target market participation; creating a point of difference, generating research and breaking through the clutter.

A top & tail were added to the existing radio commercial, increasing the duration by an extra 20” – this was at no cost to client.

The top included a question related to the commercial i.e. “When does the Dukes of Hazard release?”.
97% of all callers got knew what date the movie was releasing at cinema’s, which shows very good comprehension of the commercial.

Red Cherry also supplied a R5 000 cash prize, as added value.

Research about callers’ cinema habits and opinions was generated at no additional cost to client.

In incorporating Red Cherry’s Interactive Radio Platform, Nu Metro received over 168% added value in the form of prizes/ extra airtime & research.

 

EA Sports

EA Sports together with their advertising agency - MGM Communications & the Media Agency – Applied Media Logic, incorporated Red Cherry’s Interactive TV & Radio Platforms into their December campaign for the Cricket PC/ PS2 game.

The Radio Platform – SPOT ON, was used on 5FM, with a customised Interactive Platform used on MNet.

SPOT ON Radio generated 921 calls over 13 days.

The spots on MNet ran during the SA vs West Indies Cricket Test between
12-16 December and generated over 1 140 calls.

Leaflets were also handed out at the Cricket Test.
Red Cherry set up IVR lines in order for callers from the Radio/ TV & Leaflet competitions to enter to win prizes.

Red Cherry researched all the callers once they entered the competition, as well as generated a firm database of all those callers who wanted to be contacted regarding more information on EA Sports.
