Red Cherry creates a social media, radio and TV campaign for Tru-Cape apples and pears

Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing recently ran a Food Lover’s Market campaign, pushing people into store to purchase Tru-Cape apples and pears. Red Cherry was briefed to put together the digital campaign and were asked to suggest a creative way of incorporating selfies to encourage participation.

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram were the chosen platforms where consumers were asked to go to their nearest store, take a selfie using one of the Tru-Cape Kidz cut-outs and post to the social media platform of their choice using #staytruetotrucape, to stand a chance to win one of five Apple iPads.

The campaign was supported by generic TV and radio advertising, produced by Red Cherry, and included Red Cherry’s Spot On top-and-tail brand. Spot On increases noting (as proven by Millward Brown) and liking.

The campaign was a great success with positive feedback from consumers. 197 entries were received on social media, 742 on radio and 757 on TV.

Red Cherry produces e.tv reality show Last Fighter Standing (LFS) and the two-hour live grand finale

On Saturday, 15 October 2016, the grand finale of Last Fighter Standing (LFS) took place at the Ticketpro Dome, setting the stage for the best-of-the-best to battle it out for ultimate glory. Red Cherry played an important part in producing the popular 24-minute e.tv LFS reality TV show, joining forces with Think Advertising, Sun International, Generosity Water and Quinton van der Burgh Investments to capture all the hard-hitting action.

With a powerful combo of red carpet A-listers, a fiery opening ceremony, world-class fights from international super fighters and LFS finalists, a live performance from Mi Casa, a live car giveaway and a share of R1m on the table; South Africans really got to see their top warriors battle it out on a world stage for the ultimate title.

Red Cherry has been there since day one, filming the inspiring journey of these incredible fighters. From actual fight footage to moving backstories, Red Cherry recorded it all. Over 7.4 million viewers watched the 13-part series, and over 5.5 million consumers were exposed to the series via digital media platforms. The show was rated the #1 show across five of the television platforms in its time slot.
